Observing the Jal Pakhwada from 16″ to 30th April 2025

As per instruction of Ministry of Education, Govt of India is observing Jal Pakhwada from 16″ to 30th
April 2025 ensuring focused participation of students, teachers and paretns with all stakeholders to
promote Water conservation, setting up Jal Shakti Kendra intersive afforestation and awareness
generation in schools.
Following suggested participatory activities will be undertaken during this period:
1. Jal Shapath may be organized by all schools and educational institutions on the first working day of the pakhwada and during moming assemblies every day, wherein all students and teachers/staff
may participate.
2. Holding meeting of SMC/PTAS or workshops in the first week of the Pakhwada to highlight the
importance of “Water Conservation”in school as well as home. Workshops on Water
Conservation may also be included in the school syllabi to spread awareness for water
conservation.
3. Competitions may be held for conserving water in schools; Debates/Essay/Quiz competition for
students for conserving water in schools’ Painting competition for students, teachers and parents. 4. Debates on conserving water awareness messages to be posted on the website of the Vidyalayas. Alternatively, Photographs on water conservation may be displayed in school Website.
